How I got here....
Being drawn to animals my entire life while undergoing a different career, I spent numerous hours volunteering for animal welfare organizations. Some of these included The Doney Clinic for Pets, Seattle Animal Shelter, Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Clinic & the Progressive Animal Welfare Society. Caring for feral cats coming out of surgery, assisting the veterinarians, and helping with adoptions and fundraisers were some of my volunteer highlights. The writing was on the wall so to speak. This led to my leaving my former career to enter the pet care field full-time, a field that I felt I was destined for all along. I took a job in a Veterinary clinic while I prepared to launch my own pet care business.
I have an abundance of knowledge about cats, behavioral as well as health issues, including geriatric care. I feel I have a calming effect on them and I pride myself on being able to win over even the most skeptical ones. I enjoy making that connection.
One of my lifetime goals is to fill my house with older cats that are being overlooked at the shelters and make my home a calming, peaceful place for them to live out their remaining years. The medical bills for these cats can really add up, so I'm grateful for all my current and future clients for they are the ones that will help me make this possible.
I currently share my home with 2 felines who I adopted through Purrfect Pals cat sanctuary, and I love them to pieces. Meet my meows

In 2001 I launched Pets Dig Me Pet Care
and have been taking care of North Seattle's cat sitting needs ever since. I created The Catered Cat to highlight the cat sitting side of my business since it's an essential part of what I do.
Not only am I a Ballard-based business, I reside here as well. This is my permanent career so, with The Catered Cat, you and your cat can count on stability.
